North Challacombe Farm is a recently refurbished family home that has everything you need for your holiday to Devon.With 5 bedrooms, this house comfortably sleeps 10 people and an additional 2 guests can stay on a sofa bed.
Accessed from a long private driveway, you will be astounded by this beautiful house surrounded by stunning coastal views and North Devon countryside. As you arrive there is plenty of parking for up to 6 cars and step free entry into the house.
Ground Floor
On the ground floor there is a welcoming kitchen with all modern appliances including a large cooker. This leads to the open plan living room and dining room, which really is the hub of the home. The dining area features a handmade oak table and there is seating for 12. The living area has two sofas and armchairs, and a high definition TV with Freeview.
Off the sitting room there is a games room with darts board, bar area with integrated home casino and more seating. There is a sofa bed in this room for additional guests to sleep on.
The ground floor bedroom (Pheasant's Nest) is accessed from the living/dining room and has been adapted for guests with mobility needs. The bedroom features twin beds, one of which is a height adjustable electric profiling bed. The large en suite wet room has a roll-in shower with freestanding shower seat and there are grab rails around the toilet and in the shower. A mobile hoist and wheeled shower chair are provided at no extra charge. The bedroom and bathroom doors are 28 inches wide.
There is a utility room downstairs with a tumble drier and additional fridge. There is a WC located off this room.
Upstairs
As you reach the top of the stairs, there is an observatory with two sofas and a balcony which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and sea.
There are four bedrooms upstairs.
Stag's Wallow - This south-facing master bedroom has a king sized bed and boasts stunning views. The en suite bathroom is accessed via two small steps and features a bath tub and separate large shower cubicle.
Badger's Sett - This second master bedroom again has spectacular south-facing views, a king sized bed and en suite shower room.
Along the corridor and down a step there are two further bedrooms and a shared bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower.
Fox's Earth - This room has twin beds.
Hare's Seat - This bedroom has a bunk bed that can comfortably sleep 2 adults.
All bedrooms are spacious and have high quality oak furnishings, luxurious bed linen and towels, pocket sprung mattresses, and are finished to a high specification.
Outdoor Areas
Outside, there is a huge wraparound patio that surrounds the house and provides step free access into the house. The main patio area, located through double doors off the games room has a table and chairs for 12, a state of the art gas BBQ and a hot tub that seats 6 ( brand new for 2019 season). This south-facing patio has uninterrupted views of the valley and leads down to further terraces and the extensive gardens.
The property is "dog friendly". By agreement, 2 well behaved dogs are allowed at no additional cost.
